The project's area mainly consists in the Mayurbhanj district of odisha. The area is fully covered with tribal belts by the hamlets of different types of tribal communities like Ho, Ganda, Bhuiyan, Santals, Munda, Lodha, Gram, Karu, Dewar and Banol etc. The major sources of income of the inhabitants are daily wage agriculture returns and forest products. Agriculture is the backbone of the people. There is no source of irrigation facility but due to draft and the global climate change the situation is very complex. In other seasons they mostly dependent upon the forest products and daily wages on the outside of District.
